POSITION SPECIFIC SKILLS AND TRAINING

AAA/AA/A PLAYERS
BEAST Athletics PA Day Hockey Camps are designed to refine and expand the hockey skills specific to the player’s position. Led by our highly regarded hockey staff, this camp splits the ice in two to allow for 10 skaters in each of the Defence and Forward camps.
One session will be directed specifically at defencemen, with focus on the core fundamentals of strong defensive play, including gap control, body positioning, stick work, and decision-making under pressure. With expert coaching and high-energy drills, players will build the confidence to shut down attackers and control play in their own zone. Along with technical training, the camp emphasizes skating power, battle skills, and puck movement, giving defensemen the complete package they need to excel.
Our camp for forwards is designed to give players the tools to become dynamic, impact players every time they step on the ice. With a focus on scoring skills, quick decision-making, and offensive creativity, players will work on shooting, puck protection, passing, and net-front presence. High-tempo drills and game-like situations challenge forwards to think fast, attack with confidence, and capitalize on scoring chances.
These camps also will give players the opportunity to compete in drills against other elite level players from around the Toronto area while providing a a great way to grow their game, stay active, and enjoy an exciting day of hockey development!

PLEASE NOTE: There are NO REFUNDS on camp purchases EXCEPT IF THE CAMP IS CANCELLED BY BEAST ATHLETICS. If you need to cancel a camp, a credit will be offered if cancellation is requested prior to seven days of event. Credit will be available for six months from purchase date. No credit will be be available for missing a day of camp regardless of when the cancellation is made.
TEACHING FOCUS
Our drills are aimed at improving balance and edge work when stickhandling for hockey plays unique to each position. Speed and accuracy will be a focal point during position-specific speed and shot/passing accuracy drills. Our staff will emphasize positive correction and decision-making reviews during all drills and competitions.
HOCKEY SKILLS ADVANCEMENT
Drills are tailored to lengthen skating stride along with forward and backward edge work, cross overs, pivoting, puck control and stick handling.
ELITE HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT
Skating explosiveness and acceleration with puck, edge control are taught during drills to improve strength, agility, shot power and accuracy.
